Cultural Diversity Super Conference Bursary

The Cultural Diversity and Inclusion Super Conference Bursaries are available to support recipients in their career in information/librarianship. These bursaries are intended to provide access to the OLA Super Conference to applicants who may otherwise not have the opportunity to participate. Selection will be made based on demonstration of need. Priority will be given to culturally diverse applicants.

There are two bursaries available:

  • One (1) bursary – Travel and Registration (Outside GTA). The recipient will receive one (1) full Super Conference registration as well as up to $1000 to cover eligible travel expenses to the conference. Acceptable expenses include travel costs and accommodations. 
  • One (1) bursary – Registration Only (GTA). The recipient will receive one (1) full Super Conference registration. 

Criteria: 

  • The successful candidate must attend the Super Conference in person in January. 
  • Following the conference, the successful candidates must submit a report on how this professional development opportunity contributed to their career goals by April 30.

Selection: 

The application deadline is November 15. 

Applications will be reviewed by members of the Cultural Diversity and Inclusion Task Force. The successful applicants will be contacted by email in early December.
