OLA Larry Moore Distinguished Service Award

Criteria and Eligibility
The Larry Moore Distinguished Service Award honours an individual member of the OLA who has made a significant contribution to the libraries of Ontario through their work within the Association. The recipient will receive an honourary lifetime membership to OLA, which is presented at the annual Super Conference. This award is presented on an irregular basis.

Nominees will be judged based on the following criteria:

A member in good standing of OLA
The nominee may be retired, or a practicing library professional, information sciences educator/professional, or a volunteer within the library sector
The nominee’s contribution must be seen as significant from members from more than one type of library
The nominator must also be an OLA member in good standing

Timeline
November 23: Nominations Due
November Board meeting: Nominations deliberated and decisions made
Early-Mid December: Nominators/Nominees informed of decisions and picture of winner(s) requested
Early-Mid January: Final award presentation details known and provided to Nominators/Nominees

What to Include
The nominator must provide sufficient documented evidence of the nominee’s contribution.
