Criteria and Eligibility
The OPLA Children’s or Youth Services Librarian of the Year Award is given to honour a children’s librarian who has made a positive impact on children’s or youth services librarianship.
The nominee must be a member of OLA/OPLA and will have made a significant contribution in the following areas:
The nominator must also be a member in good standing of OLA/OPLA.
Timeline
March 31: Nominations Due
June Council Meeting: Nominations deliberated and decisions made
Early-Mid July: Nominators/Nominees informed of decisions and picture of winner(s) requested
Early-Mid August: Final award presentation details known and provided to Nominators/Nominees
What to Include
In addition to the form submission, support can be letters of support, samples of their work, photographs, news clippings, etc.
